ABOUT OUR SCHOOL
Monument View Montessori is a public charter school offering an inspired, high-quality Montessori education located in Fruita. We're a small, intimate, and connected community school serving children from age 3 through 3rd grade.
OUR STORY
MVM began with a group of educators, parents, and community members who came together to build a school that encourages children to become self-motivated, lifelong learners. Since those early beginnings, we have grown into an established and successful Montessori charter school, with a highly developed curriculum that supports both the academic and the social and emotional needs of our students. Today we offer early childhood and early elementary education in a larger, more accessible location just east of Fruita.

At MVM, students arrive eager to learn, both through independent, self-directed work and through thoughtfully guided instruction from a team of highly dedicated teachers.
Our classrooms are designed to invite and inspire learning, and our students are naturally drawn to the beauty and challenge of the Montessori materials.
EDUCATING THE WHOLE CHILD
Our teachers are committed to educating the whole child. Along with language arts and mathematics, students learn history, geography, science, and the arts. Just as importantly, they are guided in the social and emotional skills that are so vital at this age. These are the skills that build character and help them navigate our evolving world. Montessori education is rooted in Education for Peace. Grace and courtesy are part of everyday life in our classrooms. Our goal is to create an environment where every student believes in their endless potential.
IN PARTNERSHIP
Montessori education is a community endeavor. Our parents are fully involved and work in tandem with teachers, the head of school, and the Board of Directors to ensure the best possible education for every child. The supportive environment children feel in the classroom flows into our families as well, and it's a big part of what makes MVM feel like home.

MVM seeks to provide its community of learners with the requisite skills to be successful students, citizens, and leaders. Leaning heavily on the Montessori linchpins of grace and courtesy, MVMCS is committed to providing students the structure, guidance, and affirmation necessary to realize their full potential.
